Leadership announcement

I am writing to share that Daniele Farinaccia, Senior Vice-President, Distribution and Channel Management has made the decision to pursue an external opportunity and will be leaving Sun Life. Daniele’s last day will be Friday, March 20, and we will work closely with him to support a smooth transition with your teams. 

Daniele first joined Sun Life in 2019 as Vice-President, Distribution Solutions. In 2020, he moved into the role of Vice-President of Prospr by Sun Life and was promoted in 2023 to his current role. Daniele’s forward-thinking approach has been instrumental in building a culture of continuous improvement, driving change and focusing on outcomes. We thank him for his meaningful contributions, and wish him well in his future endeavours. 

With this change, I am thrilled to announce that Adam Mamdani will be re-joining Sun Life effective March 2 as Senior Vice-President, Distribution and Channel Management. Adam joins us from RBC Insurance where he currently serves as Vice-President and Head of Third Party & Bank Distribution, responsible for guiding the execution of distribution strategies that align with evolving consumer needs. He has a proven track record of ensuring Clients have access to comprehensive, protection solutions.  

Adam is recognized for his thought leadership on insurance trends, consumer behaviour, and the importance of advisor-led protection strategies. Prior to joining RBC in 2017, Adam spent over 9 years at Sun Life in various roles within distribution. 

In his role at Sun Life, Adam will be responsible for leading the ongoing evolution of a digital, omni-channel experience that meets the holistic needs of Clients at every life stage, and guiding our distribution leaders to fully leverage sales and channel capabilities to drive sustainable growth. Stéphane Vigneault, VP, Insurance Distribution and Anne Topping, VP, Distribution Partnership will report to Adam. 

Outside of work, Adam is married and a proud father to one daughter. He enjoys time with his family and is an avid golfer, appreciating the balance of competition, discipline, and focus both on the course and in his leadership style.
