Jay Sankoff

Jay joined Sun Life in 2014 to lead the Independent New Business and Underwriting teams. In 2018, he created the High Net Worth Team focusing on cases over $250,000 of premium or $7,500,000 in face amount. Two years later, looking for ways to further improve the advisor and client experience Jay created the High Net Worth Solutions Centre. Now called Sun Life Select, Jay has joined the Sun Life Sales Team in educating and supporting advisors, to  improve their large case application submissions for quicker decisions.

Julie Lapostolle

Julie has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry. She began her underwriting career in 2009 at iA, and joined Sun Life in 2012 as a senior underwriter. In 2020, Julie joined the Independent channel High net worth new business and underwriting team as director of underwriting. Julie has developed a great partnership with advisors, and held training seminars helping them understand the underwriting process. In 2021, Sun Life created High Net Worth Solutions Centre, where Julie joined the team as Director of Field Underwriting. She is dedicated to the success of the development of Advisor’s application submissions on complex cases.

Humberto Da Silva Tang

Humberto earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of McGill, speaks four languages and brings with him over 15 years in the insurance industry.  He began his underwriting career at Empire Life before moving to Manulife and most recently spending the last two and half years at one of Canada’s reinsurers. In this new role, Humberto will become the first Field Underwriter in the Asian Marketplace but will also be assisting Julie and Jay in their combined efforts to support all regions in delivering thought provoking presentations, knowledgeable field consultations and creating new impactful marketing pieces.
