Requirement to onboard within APEXA for MGA advisors coming soon
Starting January 2025, we’re requiring all Managing General Agency (MGA) advisors to onboard within APEXA before their next license renewal. This means all contracting change requests, including transfers from one MGA to another, are required to be done through APEXA. We won’t process any contract changes sent by email where there is no advisor profile in APEXA.
APEXA has set the industry standard for advisor contracting, screening and monitoring. This step will ensure that all MGA advisors contracted with Sun Life are registered on APEXA and have completed their advisor profile (including uploading E&O insurance certificate and licenses). We appreciate your collaboration in ensuring, as an industry, we’re all meeting our regulatory obligations and adhering to the CLHIA G8 and G18 Guidelines regarding advisor suitability.
