Take note of these key dates for National Accounts year-end

The National Accounts year-end is coming up! It’s important to be aware of these key deadlines for delivery requirements and settling policies.
Knowing these dates will ensure the cases are part of your 2026 commissions.
- October 2: The last day to submit conversion applications for guaranteed review (this excludes original age conversions)
- October 16, by 4:00 p.m. ET: The last day that Sun Life can receive all settling documents
- October 20: The final settle date that Sun Life can put a policy in force that will count for bank firm year-end 2026 commissions
- October 22/23: The last commissions paid before bank firm year-end
Settling policies between October 21-28
If we settle a policy between October 21 and 28, there’s no guarantee that it will count toward 2026 commissions. We recommend settling all policies on or prior to October 20 to guarantee payment. There are many factors that will determine when the commission will be paid out during this time (e.g. firm/advisor bank selection, product type, etc.).
