Universal life (UL) investment account option names are changing – Here's what you need to know
Several UL investment account options are getting new names. Clients will see these changes on their next statements, but their investments will remain unchanged.
Starting on October 5, we’re updating the names of select investment account options for both new business and in-force UL policies. These naming changes do not affect each fund's underlying mandate, investment strategy, or historical performance record. There is no action to be taken.
Here’s a list of all the new names:

For new business UL policies, all systems, forms and supporting materials will be updated to reflect the new fund names.
Existing UL policyholders will be notified of these changes through direct mail letters the week of September 21. You will receive comprehensive lists of affected Clients through the Activity Centre on September 14, which you can reference when discussing the updates with Clients.
When Clients will see these changes
The new names will appear on Clients' next policy statements beginning October 5.
