For support, there are two job aid links  on the “How to use this site” page on Suncentral.  These include:

  • How to request and retrieve a book of business report
  • How to filter a book of business Excel report

Forms & favourites (All Suncentral users.)

In June we launched our favourites functionality to Suncentral for PDFs and content pages, in September we added the ability to favourite tools from the Tools tab on the secure homepage of Suncentral.

This release combines the existing forms favourites functionality with the new favourites experience.

Brand updates to password reset flow (Have registered manually/Are updating their password through a manual password reset.)

The design of the manual password setup/reset flow in Suncentral is now updated.

This does not change the current user flow; this updates the look and feel to be consistent with the Suncentral experience.

The eClaims team launched a dashboard for users to be able to see their submitted claims.

Tab fixes (All Suncentral users.)

The secure tabs have been updated to improve the experience and performance. From an experience perspective, the Suncentral homepage tabs seem to “jump” down the page. Now fixed, the user will land properly on the page with the entire header visible. From there, the user can choose where to navigate.

Suncentral profile – add, edit, delete (MGA Advisors and Assistants.)

Previously, our users did not have visibility into their site access and had to call Sun Life with any access-related questions. Given this, our users have expressed a desire for a more personalized, digitally automated and self-serve approach to their Suncentral experience.

This release gives some users the ability to update their teams and who has access to different selling codes within their Suncentral profile under the My Team tab.

Also note that the experience will be different for our different personas (i.e.: Advisor, Assistant and back-office users)

  • Advisors will have two charts showing who has access to their codes and whose codes to which they have access
  • Assistants will see one chart showing the advisors to which they have access
  • Branch users will see a list of branches to which they have access
Tool Header and Footer (All Suncentral users.)

The header and footer for tools within the site have been updated from the original design to match the updated Suncentral experience.

2023

Added My information and Communication preferences tabs to your Profile (All Suncentral users)

We re-designed the personal profile page to support a new tabs view.  You will now see a My Information tab and a Communication preferences tab.

This allows you to see your information at a glance and without scrolling, and prepares the Profile section for future enhancements

Bug fix for Secure navigation (All Suncentral users)

When you search for something in the Secure site and then use the browser back button to return to the homepage, it used to take you to the Activities & Requests tab regardless of which tab you were on previously. The fix now lets you return to exactly where you were before starting your search.

Suncentral profile access (All Suncentral users)

You let us know that you wanted a more intuitive link to help you find your profile. The feedback said that it was hard to find the "person" icon that was previously there, and it would be more visible if we used the word profile.  You can now see the newly named access link to the Suncentral profile in its same location at the top of every page.

Added National Sales Webinar content to Suncentral (All Suncentral users)

We moved all National Sales Webinar content into Suncentral. This move lets you search for previously hosted and upcoming webinars directly using our global search tool. This step is another milestone in our quest to reduce the number of sites you need to visit to learn more about Sun Life and how we can do business effectively together.

Fixed the Date Field formatting in the Registration flow (New Suncentral users)

When a new user enters their Date of Birth on the registration form, the formatting will auto correct so you do not need to manually input the forward slashes “/” to have success. This change makes registering less frustrating and more user friendly

Fixed the Date Field formatting in the Forgot password flow (All Suncentral users)

When you enter your Date of Birth while resetting your password the formatting will auto correct so you do not need to manually input the forward slashes “/” to have success. This change makes updating your password less frustrating and more user friendly

Updated how tabs open when using tools in Suncentral (All Suncentral users)

When you open tools like Client Portfolio in Suncentral, the tool opens in multiple tabs. This can be confusing and frustrating.

We changed how and when tabs open to streamline your experience and make working in the tools more efficient.
