From April 1 to June 30, Clients who buy Sun Critical Illness Insurance (Sun CII) will be eligible to receive a cheque equivalent to a portion of their first year’s premiums.

  • For an adult policy, we’ll send a cheque equivalent to the cost of three months of premiums (25% of first year’s premiums).
  • For a child policy, we’ll send a cheque equivalent to the cost of six months of premiums (50% of first year’s premiums).

Clients only need to buy one policy to be eligible for the offer. Policies must remain in force for one year from the date the policy settles. The discount will be reflected in the terms of the policy(ies) receiving the discount.

Help Clients protect their savings

Sun CII is comprehensive, customizable coverage to help provide financial protection in the case of a covered illness. It’s a single lump-sum payment that can be used for anything, including:

  • Reducing debt
  • Replacing lost/reduced income
  • Bringing in extra help
  • Paying for uncovered medical costs

If Clients experience a covered illness, they should be able to focus on their health and the health of their families instead of their finances. Reach out to them now so they can get the protection they need while taking advantage of a premium discount.

  • The Sun CII policy(ies) must remain in force for one year to be eligible for the premium discount. The eligibility window begins from the settle/anniversary date.
  • The Sun CII policy(ies) can be backdated up to 6 months.
  • Conversions from a T10 to a T75 or T100 Sun CII are not eligible. The premium discount only applies to new business applications.
  • If optional benefits (eg. ROPC/ROPD, Disability waiver etc) are chosen, the costs for the optional benefits will also be included in the premium discount.
  • Clients with existing applications in flight that cancel to reapply just to become eligible for the offer won’t qualify. These changes cause trouble for our operation teams, could impact cycle times, and potentially delay the Client’s coverage resulting in a poor experience.
  • The premium discount will be reflected in the terms of the policy(ies) receiving the discount.
