Angelo Parziale has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining Sun Life, he worked at Dundee Wealth, Goodman Private Wealth and CI Financial. He has proven skills in establishing and managing relationships with Clients and an in-depth knowledge of the wealth management industry.
Having worked closely with entrepreneurs and high-net-worth clients, he can provide advisors with his knowledge of strategizing, business development, marketing and personal branding. He also supports their professional development by giving stimulating workshops and informative presentations.
Thanks to his expertise as a coach, Angelo has had the chance to observe the internal workings of many consulting firms. He has a unique perspective of their challenges and how they can succeed. His deep understanding of advisor needs allows him to recommend strategies and best practices for advisors to be more successful and build long-term relationships with Clients.
Angelo earned the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation in 1999, the Certified Investment Manager (CIM) designation in 2007, and in 2023, the Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) designation. He was born and raised in Montreal. He is passionate about soccer and music and loves spending time with family more than anything.

Advisors will leave better prepared to address both the benefits and risks, and to guide clients through informed decision-making in holistic planning scenarios.
Paul Thorne is the Director of Advanced Planning in Sun Life’s Estate & Financial Planning Services (EFPS) division. He focuses on complex case consultation within EFPS, with special attention to wills, trusts, estate planning, and Canadian business owners. Paul is passionate about taking these complex topics and distilling them down into practical solutions with a goal of ensuring Client’s understand how they’ll meet their goals and objectives tax efficiently. He also heads content development for EFPS and acts as tax and legal subject-matter expert for various areas of Sun Life.
Prior to joining Sun Life Financial, Paul practiced law with a focus on estate planning, trusts, corporate structures and reorganizations, and taxation. He is the former President of the Halifax Estate Planning Council and is a member of the Nova Scotia Barristers' Society. Paul has won several awards while continuing to advance his education including First place on the President’s List for highest mark on the CFP exam in Canada in November 2014 and Highest mark on the Taxation of Trusts TEP exam in 2018. He was awarded the FP Canada Fellow distinction in 2024 for his significant volunteer contributions to FP Canada’s mandate of advancing professional financial planning in Canada.
Katelyn Culliton engages with Sun Life advisors and planners to collaborate on complex financial planning cases. With over 15 years of tax and financial planning experience, she leverages her extensive technical background to analyze the client’s situation and provide solutions to tax, estate and financial planning issues. Katelyn is passionate about educating advisors and clients on tax and financial planning concepts in clear, understandable terms, so they can improve their knowledge and confidence in their financial decisions and meet their goals.
Prior to joining Sun Life, Katelyn was a senior wealth planning consultant at a large private banking and wealth management firm, where she developed holistic, customized wealth, tax and estate planning strategies for high net worth families. Previously, she was a tax manager at a national accounting firm, where she advised business owners, farmers and their families on tax, succession and estate planning matters, implemented corporate reorganizations and completed complex personal, corporate and trust tax filings.
Katelyn is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course. She also holds the Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designations, and placed first on the June 2018 President’s List for earning the top score nationally on the CFP® exam.
