I truly believe that my calling in life is to use my knowledge of business and finance to help others achieve their goals. By asking “what keeps you up at night”, conversatons are started, and solutions are generated. I love the feeling when someone tells you have made a difference, it is my motivaton! I have a bachelor’s degree in politcal science (it’s true) from the University of Lethbridge and followed that up by getting my Chartered Accountant designaton in 2002. After articling at KPMG, I was lucky enough to work for a large and extremely well-run home builder in Calgary, where I learned that truly knowing your costs is of upmost importance. From there, family brought me to Kelowna, where I took on the role of CFO at a well-established and growing construction company with a sizeable land and housing division. My idols in business are those that love what they do and have fun at work. If you are happy at home and happy at work, you are winning at life. Just ask Sammy Hagar how his life is going? I recommend his book - it was a game changer for me. When I am not at work, I can be found playing cards with friends or spending time with my family on the golf course or at the campground. I am a true sports nut and am a diehard follower of the Dallas Cowboys and Edmonton Oilers (which has been trying for the last 20 years or so). I love a good strong coffee in the morning so business meetings at coffee shops are great for me. I am a very personable individual, so if you ever want to talk sports, business or analytics, send me a message!
