What is changing?

  • We’re implementing a new portal on Suncentral to submit life claims.
  • Most forms will be digitized, but some additional forms and/or signatures may still be required, depending on the complexity of the claim.
  • For the first time, you can track the status of claims by accessing the dashboard.

The new portal is an easy, digitally guided experience. There’ll be smart input fields, direct document upload options, flexible navigation, integrated access and a dashboard with real-time status updates.

This first release will introduce the following features:

  • Tracking the status of claims: Check real-time status of submitted claims by accessing the dashboard. You’ll receive an email each time there’s an update.
  • Identifying express claims on intake: Find out immediately if the claim qualifies for express payment (80% qualify!).
  • Identifying requirements at submission: Eliminate potential back-and-forth filling in missing details. Once you enter client and beneficiary(ies) information, the system guides you through next steps to submit documentation (as applicable).
  • Providing additional or missing documentation anytime: Upload new documents at any point after submitting a claim.
  • Saving drafts: Claims can be saved or paused as a draft for up to 14 days at any point in the application.

What you need to know:

  • Currently, only life insurance claims are part of the automated portal. Keep an eye out for updates and improvements in the future.
  • You can only see and track the claims you submit.
  • You can start and pause filling the intake form at any time prior to submitting your claim. Ensure you save drafts!
  • Most forms will be digitized, but some additional forms and/or signatures may still be required, depending on the complexity of the claim.
  • Head to our Claims page to read our eClaims guide. FAQs and training videos for more in-depth information on this new program are coming soon.
