In this session, join Humberto Da Silva Tang, Director of Field Underwriting as he takes you behind the curtain. Through real-life case studies, he will explore variables that underwriters manage including how to work with reinsurers and assess non-traditional risks, and help understand how underwriters financial look at cases.

In addition, Humberto will also discuss the characteristics, challenges and opportunities of the Asian market and recent changes to our new immigrant guidelines. Through this presentation we will make working together to find solutions to acceptable cases and sales concepts easier.

Humberto Da Silva Tang 

Humberto earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of McGill, speaks four languages and brings with him over 15 years in the insurance industry. 

He began his underwriting career at Empire Life before moving to Manulife and most recently spending the last two and half years at one of Canada’s reinsurers.
