Humberto earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of McGill, speaks four languages and brings with him over 15 years in the insurance industry.

He began his underwriting career at Empire Life before moving to Manulife and most recently spending the last two and half years at one of Canada’s reinsurers.

With over 25 years of experience in the insurance field, including more than a decade at Sun Life Canada, Geneviève Gascon is a recognized expert in managing complex claims. Specializing in contentious and contestable life, critical illness, and long-term care insurance cases, she excels in resolving sensitive situations such as accidental and foreign deaths.

Geneviève plays a crucial role in representing Sun Life during mediations and examinations for discovery. Her in-depth analytical and communication skills enable her to negotiate effectively in the best interests of both the company and the insureds.

Her understanding of risk management practices, reinforced by her experience in Corporate Risk Management, allows her to identify potential risks and propose proactive solutions. Recognized for her rigor and ethics, Geneviève excels in conducting impartial investigations and managing sensitive information.

Prior to Sun Life, Geneviève held key positions at National Bank Insurance, expanding her expertise in various insurance products. Her versatility and analytical skills make her an invaluable resource in managing claims risks and resolving even the most complex cases.
