The 2025 Term and CII Special Offer provided Clients with a 5% discount on the CII premiums for the life of the policy.
What’s changing?
The offer initially included a restriction that if a Client replaced their term policy in the future, the CII premium discount would be removed.
We’ve improved this eligibility requirement for all Term and CII Special Offers, and Clients can now replace their term life policy if required and keep their CII premium discount.
How we’re letting Clients know
In the coming weeks, we’re mailing letters to Clients with the Term and CII Special Offer to advise them of this change. The letter will serve as an amendment to their CII policy. See a sample letter.
How we’re continuing to improve Special Offers
Sun Life’s Special Offers will continue to evolve to meet the needs of Clients and your business. You’ll see this improvement in our new 2026 Term and Perm Special Offer as well, providing Clients with greater flexibility and providing you with simpler conversations regarding replacements.
