What’s changing on November 11?
- You'll see the status of each individual claim submitted for a deceased person.
- The dashboard will tell you if requirements are missing for each policy within a claim. This is helpful because different policies could have different requirements.
- You can upload claim documents at any point in the process, even after you first submit. Before, you could only include documents when you first submitted a claim.
Preview the enhancements
The current/previous view only shows the:
- Name of deceased
- Client date of birth
- Claim creation date
- Claim status
The new view (pending requirements) will show the:
- Coverage policy number
- Coverage status
- Any pending requirements
Here’s a look at the new completed view.
Other things to know about the Sun Life eClaims portal:
- Since launching on June 17, 2024, users are submitting about 30% of life claims through the portal.
- Currently, only life insurance claims are part of the automated portal. Keep an eye out for more updates and improvements in the future.
- You can only see and track the claims you submit.
- You can start and pause filling the intake form at any time prior to submitting your claim. Ensure you save drafts!
- Most forms are being digitized. However, you may have to complete some additional forms and/or signatures, depending on the complexity of the claim.
