This wording helps support an existing responsibility for Clients to notify Sun Life of changes to their personal identification information as outlined in anti-money laundering regulations. It doesn't introduce any new obligations. You will see these updates in the Acknowledgement and Agreement section of applications and in the Did you know? section of annual statements. The statements will be updated in phases, with the first update for Universal Life products (except Pre-98 and Series 98 Clarica plans). The remaining statements will happen later in the year.

We recommend taking a moment with Clients to review the new wording and the importance of letting us know of any changes to their personal identification information.  This will help ensure Clients continue receiving important information and allows Sun Life to service their policies properly over the long term.
